Why This Exists

Urban sketchers and travelling artists asked TRAVELER'S Company for years to create a proper watercolour refill, and this is the result. The paper is substantially heavier and more textured than their sketch paper refill, engineered specifically to handle water-based media without warping or bleeding through to subsequent pages. The slightly rough hot-press surface showcases watercolour pigment granulation beautifully while also working well with pen, pencil, gouache, and ink.

Every page is perforated, which means you can paint on location, tear out the finished piece, and send it as a postcard or store it separately without destroying the refill. The format acknowledges how watercolour artists actually work: you don't necessarily want every painting bound permanently in your notebook.
